In the co-main event, two of the organizations top young guns and heavyweight contenders will clash, as unbeaten phenom Cain Velasquez takes on former IFL star “Big” Ben Rothwell in a bout to take one of the youngsters promising careers to the next level. Many believe that this battle will be one of the most memorable heavyweight bouts of 2009 with a good chance that the winner will get a shot at current heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar.
