The Carolina Hurricanes have been in the NHL since 1979 when they were known as the Hartford Whalers.  In 1997 since they moved to Raliegh North Carolina becoming the Carolina Hurricanes in the Southeast Division of the Eastern Conference and play in RBC center.  The Hurricanes have appeared in 2 Stanley Cup finals winning the Championship in the 2005-06 season.
