The Cardinals reached the Super Bowl by engineering a final drive for a touchdown after allowing the Eagles to score 19 unanswered points and take the lead.  The Cardinals absolutely dominated the 1st half, but the Eagles weren’t done as McNabb enjoyed great scoring drives and the Eagles defense didn’t allow Kurt Warner anytime.  Once the Eagles took the lead, Kurt Warner settled down and moved the Cardinals down the field to score.  The Cardinals defense had to hold one more time and they were up to the task making the Cardinals the NFC Champions and giving them their 1st Super Bowl appearance.

The Steelers were in a defensive battle against the Ravens early but were able to manage a couple of field goal before a big play by Holmes.  The Ravens special teams got a great runback and a few plays were on the goal line when Willis McGahee took the ball in, making the score 13-7 Pittsburgh at Halftime.  The Steelers managed another field goal before a poor punt by the Steelers allowed Baltimore to score quickly after a penalty in the endzone by the Steelers.  Again McGahee punched the ball in.  The Ravens got the ball back to try to go for the lead but the Steelers defense proved why it was number 1, by intercepting the ball on the drive and running it back for a touchdown.  The Steelers hung on to win 24-13 giving them a seventh Super Bowl appearance.  Congratulations to the Steelers as AFC Champions!
