Britney Spears is bringing “The Circus Starring Britney Spears” back to North America. Currently touring Europe, Britney will return to Canada and the U.S. starting August 20, to perform in 20 cities. With its cast of nearly 50 dancers, magicians, clowns and acrobats, and a traveling staff of over 200, the 50 million dollar extravaganza travels with an unprecedented 60 tons of equipment in 34 trucks for what has already proven to be the most electrifying musical event ever.

The Circus Starring Britney Spears” kicked-off in New Orleans, LA on March 3, “The pop star…pulled out all the stops before a sell-out crowd of 16,400 to launch her much anticipated world tour,” stated Reuters. To date, the Circus is the highest grossing tour of 2009 in North America.

Britney is currently touring Europe to rave reviews. “The Circus starring Britney Spears, the relentlessly high octane and superbly choreographed affair delighted fans” claims the UK’s Daily Mail. “I’m so excited to bring The Circus back to North America. I’ve made some really cool changes to the show that I think my fans are really going to love. I also get to bring the show to some new cities we missed the first time around,” says Britney.

The “Great American Race” the 51^st Annual Daytona 500 will kick off the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series February 15^th at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida.

The 2009 NBA All-Star Game will be played on February 15^th at US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona.

Celine Dion, Nickelback, Rascal Flatts, Dancing with the Stars, Brad Paisley, Celtic Woman, John Legend, Motley Crue and Slipknot hit the touring circuit in February. Comics on tour in February include Jeff Dunham, Jerry Seinfeld, Larry the Cable Guy, Lisa Lampanelli and Robin Williams.

Broadway previews begin for the revivals of West Side Story, Hair, Guys and Dolls and 33 Variations starring Jane Fonda. A new play, Impressionism, starring Joan Allen and Jeremy Irons begins previews in February. You’re Welcome America. A Final Night with George W. Bush starring Will Ferrell opens on Broadway February 5^th.
