Febraury 2009 Events

February may be the shortest month of the year but February 2009 is packed with marquee sports, concert and theatrical events.

The NFL Super Bowl XLIII will feature the AFC vs. the NFC champs February 1st at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.  The NFL Pro Bowl game takes place the next weekend at Aloha Stadium, Honolulu on February 8th.

The “Great American Race” the 51st Annual Daytona 500 will kick off the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series February 15th at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida.

The 2009 NBA All-Star Game will be played on February 15th at US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona.

Celine Dion, Nickelback, Rascal Flatts, Dancing with the Stars, Brad Paisley, Celtic Woman, John Legend, Motley Crue and Slipknot hit the touring circuit in February.  Comics on tour in February include Jeff Dunham, Jerry Seinfeld, Larry the Cable Guy, Lisa Lampanelli and Robin Williams.

Broadway previews begin for the revivals of West Side Story, Hair, Guys and Dolls and 33 Variations starring Jane Fonda.  A new play, Impressionism, starring Joan Allen and Jeremy Irons begins previews in February.  You’re Welcome America. A Final Night with George W. Bush starring Will Ferrell opens on Broadway February 5th.
